The deputy of the province of Santa Fe, Enrique Marín, introduced a bill that aims to take measures to prevent and treat gambling addiction- gambling addiction as a disease known in the cities where there are casinos and bingo.
At his initiative, the law establishes a series of points that are related to the recovery of a minimum entrance at casinos, the creation of a fund managed by the Ministry of Health for a professional team in hospitals to meet on people suffering from gambling addiction and the banning of automatic teller machines in the area where casinos and bingos operate.
Marín found that the state "can not be absent in the formation of policies designed to control addiction" and suggested that "the Ministry of Health should promote training courses and update, referring to the issue of treatment of pathological gambling, and orientated to professionals in the hospital system"
